Bogdan Mureșanu wrote, directed and produced "The New Year That Never Came", winner of 23 international awards including Best Film at Venice's Orizzonti section and the FIPRESCI Award, plus 10 Gopo Awards. He debuted as screenwriter in 2008 and wrote/directed shorts including "Trimmed, Shaved and Milled" and "Spid". His short "The Christmas Present" (2018) won the European Film Academy Award, received over 200 festival selections and 72 awards, and was Oscar shortlisted.
