Born in 1956 in Sofia, Nastimir Tzatchev joined the Sofia Animated Films Studio in 1979, contributing to over 50 films, including "Marriage" (Palme d'Or, Cannes 1984). He went on to work in Hungary, Germany, the UK, ect. In 1992 he founded his own production company, "Nagual", co-producing projects such as "African Tales" and "Sniz & Fondu" (Nickelodeon). A director of numerous award-winning short films ("Nazca", "Terraforming"), he directed THE CHIMNEYSWEEPER in 2026. He teaches animation at the Art College in Sofia.
