Madli Lääne is an Estonian film director, screenwriter and editor. Her last short film Three August Days (2018) premiered at the SXSW festival and has participated in over 75 international film festivals in over 35 countries and won 19 awards. Her short documentary ABC premiered at the Berlinale film festival 2012. Madli holds a MFA in Film and Media Production from the University of Texas, USA (2017) where she concentrated on fiction directing. She graduated as film editor from ifs internationale filmschule köln in 2007. Currently Madli is working as an editing lecturer at Tallinn University Baltic Film and Media Arts School.
