Inga Birgitta Spur found art as her life's calling at a young age. Her love for the artist Sigurjón Ólafsson and his art led the native Dane after World War 2 to Iceland. There she dedicated her live to enabling Sigurjón to create his works, despite the challenges of a foreign country and unfamiliar culture. Now, at over 90 years, she still directs the Museum she founded for her late husband. TORN gives us a glimpse of her perspective of this artist's oeuvre and her relationship with his art.

Feferle, confronted with her father's loss, wanders through her memories in the cluttered apartment, pondering whether she can approach her family's history through the material remains and raw facts.
