Born in 1976 in Burgas, Bulgaria, he studied Film Directing at NATFA "Krastyo Sarafov" in Sofia and at the Royal Institute of Theatre Cinema and Sound in Brussels, alongside Automobile Engineering and Sound Engineering at the Technical University of Sofia.
