In a small suburb outside of Chicago lives Jonathan, a 57 year old man with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), also known as ‘Superman’. Known for his heroic actions, Jonathan is a revered member of the Glen Ellyn community and has been a staple in the 4th of July Parade for nearly 30 years. When Jonathan’s living circumstances were threatened by a new building owner, the townspeople sprung into action after his best friend Julie started a fundraiser to save his home.

Adam Oppenheim is a director of photography based out of the Midwest specializing in documentaries and commercials. He served as cinematographer on the award-winning feature documentary, Greener Pastures, which premiered on PBS' Oscar-nominated and Emmy award-winning series, Independent Lens on March 25th, 2024. SAVING SUPERMAN is his directorial debut.

Samuel-Ali Mirpoorian is an award-winning Iranian-American filmmaker exploring societal themes at the intersection of time, isolation, health, science, and introspection. His debut feature documentary, Greener Pastures, screened at over 50 film festivals between 2023-2024 and won over fifteen awards including the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2023 Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado.
