Iskra
Iskra wakes up in a black, soot-covered apartment. She cleans the soot all day while her grandfather burns old papers all night. New soot settles on the walls and Iskra wakes up to another day of cleaning. While feeding her only friend, a chicken who lives on the balcony, Iskra sees a young man. His arrival angers Grandfather but sparks a longing inside Iskra. A fight between them escalates. Iskra jumps off the balcony. Her dress gets stuck. She remains floating in limbo between past and future.
