I was busy dreaming about boys

Katharina, daughter of a Bulgarian mother and an Austrian father, grew up between Vienna and New York. She majored in Film and Literature at the University of Vienna and Acting in Los Angeles. She studied dramatic writing at the Burgtheater, did journalism internships at the daily newspaper Der Standard and Radio Fritz and works as an actor and voiceover artist based in Berlin. In 2020/21 she was awarded the Drehbuchwerkstatt screenwriting fellowship at the University of Film and Television in Munich, during which she realized that directing was her calling and that it allows her to combine all that she has previously learned. She is grateful to be currently studying Film Directing at the Hamburg Media School.
