Nowadays, the young generation in their early twenties has big dreams and all the possibilities, at least in theory - but they also have parents who experienced the exact opposite back in their twenties. Once Chemnitz realized this fact, the young generation could be its future.

Director Julius Gintaras Blum

Julius Gintaras Blum is a German-Lithuanian director who was born in Dresden in 1995. He has been studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg since 2019. His short films were screened in competition at various renowned festivals such as DOK Leipzig, Camerimage & Clermont Ferrand ISFF. His latest work, a German-Lithuanian fictional short film, is a co-production with the broadcasters SWR & ARTE. Currently he is working on his first documentary feature film.
