After graduating from high school, Jan-Oke Jens began studying theater, film and media studies in Vienna after a long journey through central America. After a few years as a freelancer in the field of editing, he began an apprenticeship as a media designer in image and sound in his hometown of hamburg and completed it in 2020. Since 2021 he has been studying directing at the Konrad Wolf Film University.
