Momchil Karamitev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria into a family with artistic tradition. He was trained as film director in Rome by professor Angelo D’Alessandro, Piero Spilla, Giuseppe Marrama and Massimo Mida. After his graduation Karamitev participated as an assistant director in various national and international film productions. His credits as a director include: "Apostol Karamitev”, “Trace Our Ancestors in Occitanie”,”Apostol – silata na duha”, “Unifier with Angelic Voice”- documentary films. His first live action short film is "$100 (A Hundred Dollars Bill)" written by Sergei Komitski.
