Sadhbh is many things but mainly, to her, she is fat. After seeing the love of her life on a dating app, Sadhbh is too crippled by self-doubt to swipe right. Instead, in a bid to summon confidence, she searches for signs that her feelings are reciprocated. This quest is hindered by The Ghosts of Dating Apps, a manifestation of her own inner thoughts in the form of the riff-raff she has seen on dating apps. Can she bring herself to believe that he feels the same way? In a society awash with fatphobia, finding this belief is harder than it seems.

Zoë Brennan-Whitmore is an award-winning director, producer, and writer from Dublin, Ireland. In her career so far, she’s collaborated with top companies like Samson Films and Shinawil and is now Creative Director at the female-led Heritage.In 2022, Zoë snagged the Virgin Media Discovers Award and was named 'Best Producer' at the Emerging Director Awards. That same year, she won the DLR First Frames Short Film Fund, graduated with distinction from Screen Ireland’s Advanced Producing diploma, and was nominated for a 1.4 European Directors Award.
