Best Short Student Documentary Jón H. Geirfinnsson, Austria, Animation, Danish, Icelandic, 00:29:54

Everything for the arts - and that’s it! Through her selfless actions, Inga Birgitta Spur enabled the artist Sigurjón Ólafsson to create his work. The love for him and for his art led the native Dane after the Second World War to Iceland, despite all the language and cultural challenges. There she dedicated her life full of love and strength to his art to this day. Even at over 90 years old, she still runs the museum in Reykjavik that she founded after Sigurjón's death, dedicated to his art. TORN gives us a glimpse of her perspective of this artist's oeuvre and her relationship with his art.
