Rouge
On a December night in 1947, in an outskirts hotel, the mayor's son is discovered dead in a room where he typically indulges his discreetly unsavory desires. Amidst corrupt cops and unexpected foes, beneath the crimson glow of the hotel's neon lights, masks are unveiled: what truly unfolded on the night of the murder? Who is Louise, the one trying to cover up the case?

A graduate of Cannes, Sorbonne and ENS Louis-Lumière, Jason Boussioux crafts films as screenwriter, director, and cinematographer. Drawing from nocturnal imagery, his work spans genres with an affinity for mystery and crime. His neon visuals, dreamlike sequences and orchestral scores transform ordinary spaces into uncanny worlds. His short film Rouge was selected at the 2024 Lauriers de l'Audiovisuel and Energa Camerimage festival. Influenced by Chazelle, Lynch, Wong Kar Wai and the Coens, his recent work explores family dynamics through his Catalan and Jewish heritage.
