Zhang Xiquan, a director at China Media Group with a master’s in Journalism, has spent 20 years making films about sports, dance, and arts education. His acclaimed work Beneath the Surface (of Ice), about Olympic skater Sui Wenjing, won top awards at the FICTS Milan and Palermo Sports Film Festivals. His latest documentary, Starlet’s Journey, follows Paris 2024 Olympic volunteers and is currently competing in major international festivals.
