Director Bogdan Alecsandru

Bogdan Alecsandru is a Bucharest-based filmmaker who recently completed his MA in Film Directing at UNATC "I. L. Caragiale." His short films have been screened at festivals such as Karlovy Vary IFF, Sarajevo IFF and PÖFF: Tallinn Black Nights FF. In 2024, Bogdan was one of 10 filmmakers selected for the EPF Future Frames: Generation NEXT of European Cinema program at Karlovy Vary IFF and was also part of the Directors Summit in the Talents Sarajevo program. His work explores themes of the unconscious, queer identity, and the boundaries of abuse in interpersonal relationships.
