Nicolas Panay directed "Breakpoint", his first short film, in 2022. It is a powerful social drama about nowadays textile factory workers confronted with the pernicious mechanisms of our globalized economy, and the intractable moral dilemmas it entails. After its world premiere in Clermont-Ferrand, the film has now been selected in nearly fifty festivals. It has won several awards, and has been in the race for the Oscars 2024. "Apneas" is his second short film and a social thriller.
