A Great Day
A day at the office begins for the man whose boss is his brother. He receives a call from his mother who is overly enthusiastic about his brother’s birthday reminding him of the greatness of his brother and hyping him up what a great day this will be. While being on the phone with her, throughout the window he witnesses a spark from a tram ignitin a fire on the newspapers an old man is selling on the street. A fireman comes to help. He diresgards the old man who ends up totally soaked. Two skinheads arrive and beat up the old man. The man continues to get hyped up about his brother’s birthday from his colleagues. On his way to the birthday party he ends up witnessing several absurd situations including another beating, a school being blown up and two hobos stealing gold from church. The man finally gets to the party. Everyone including his colleagues from the office is happy and celebrating. His brother receives the gift from him – a gun. Bombs start to explode while everyone’s dancing. The bombs are exploding throughout the whole planet.

Georgi Yovchev is a Bulgarian film director, born in Varna. He graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” (NATFA) in 2017, under the mentorship of Prof. Plamen Markov and Assistant Penko Gospodinov, with a degree in Acting.
