Video which the author shot in the Horseshoe Nail Factory in the city of Karlovac. The factory, built in 1925 produced, using unchanged technology, horseshoe nails for horses, donkeys and camels.
Out of this material Martinis selected 99 shots. Then, special software is developed so that, each time it is run, it generates a new random sequence of cuts. Each generated configuration of shots makes one, original film "N-th Kinematic Nail Factory", One film for each nail.

Dalibor Martinis is an artist and a video and filmmaker. He has exhibited his videotapes, video/interactive and site-specific installations in many international exhibitions such as Sao Paolo Biennale, Dokumenta, Venice Biennale, and film/video festivals in Berlin, Tokyo, Montreal, San Francisco, and Locarno etc.
Martinis videos and films received several international awards, His works are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art/New York, Stedelijk Museum/Amsterdam, ZKM Karlsruhe, etc.
