Slavi Angelov has been an investigative journalist for more than 30 years. He is also the creator of the 11-part documentary series “On target” (2014/Bulgarian National Television), as well as the investigative documentary films “The Protected Witness”, “233 Meters Between Life and Death”, and “8 Years of Slavery” (2020/Nova Television).

Slavi Angelov has been an investigative journalist for more than 30 years. He is the author of the books “9 Millimeters” (2007), “The Heists” (2009), and “The Brazen Kidnappers” (2010). He is also the creator of the 11-part documentary series “On target” (2014/Bulgarian National Television), as well as the investigative documentary films “The Protected Witness”, “233 Meters Between Life and Death”, and “8 Years of Slavery” (2020/Nova Television). Because of his journalistic work, Slavi Angelov was brutally attacked by assailants in 2020 in front of his home in Sofia.
He is also the director and cinematographer of the short film “Love Hour”, shot entirely on a smartphone. The film won First Prize at the Huawei Smartphone Film Festival (2019), was a finalist at the Anatolian Short Film Festival (Istanbul), and the Prague International Film Awards, received an Honorable Mention at the Berlin Flash Film Festival, and was officially selected for the Dublin Smartphone Film Festival, the Lift-Off Global Network (Paris), and the KinoDUEL International Film Festival (Moscow),.
Slavi Angelov was also part of the screenwriting team for all six seasons of the TV series Undercover, which has an 8.9 IMDb rating.
