Diane Malherbe was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Diane Malherbe was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France. In 1999, she joined the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. She was a PhD student in Art Culture Studies at the University of Montpellier, where she also obtained a Master's degree in Performing Arts & Entertainment. She worked for the distribution company “Some Like it Short” as a sales agent and later co-founded Kinoctambule, an International Laboratory for Short Films & Soundtracks Productions in 2014. Her last short film “The Washing Machine” received more than 65 official selections in 28 different countries and obtained 7 awards until now.
