UMUT TURKMEN

Umut Can Türkmen is a Board Member of the Izmir Cinema Culture and Education Association. He works professionally in the fields of video production and translation. He has worked for Izmir Cinema Culture and Education Association's projects such as Unesco, Spaces of Culture, and Hilfsfond 2021. At the same time, he has been working as the International Coordinator of the Oscar Qualifying Izmir Short Film Festival, Turkey's biggest and most prestigious short film festival, since 2019, and has been in constant contact with cinema professionals, especially from European cinema. As a programmer, he recently collaborated and curated a selection of Francaphone films for the French Institute’s Francaphone Film Festival in Turkey and attended the 70—International Oberhausen Short Film Festival as a special guest within the framework of the IVP programme.
