Nadezhda Marinchevska is a researcher in the field of cinema and television and animation. She wrote monographs and scientific articles. From 2007 to 2014 she was the Head of Film and Television department of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Nadezhda Marinchevska works at the Institute of Art Studies; Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She teaches History and Theory of Animation and Animation Screenwriting at the National Academy of Theater and Film and Audiovisual Language at New Bulgarian University. Nadezhda Marinchevska is a researcher in the field of cinema and television and animation. She wrote monographs and scientific articles. From 2007 to 2014 she was the Head of Film and Television department of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She was in charge with the organization and management of the department`s activities. Since 2015 she is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Art Studies. Prof. Marinchevska is a member of many scientific juries for awarding academic titles. She has been participating as an expert in many National Commissions of Animated Cinema at the National Film Center. International film festivals Jury member: Annecy (2004, 2008), Leipzig (2006), Krakow (2007), Athens (2008), Sarajevo (2009), Golden Kuker - Sofia (2010), Gabrovo (2011). Member of the International Commission of SAS (Society for Animation Studies) - assigned McLaren-Lambart Prize to the best academic research in Animated Film in 2006-2007. She is an editor of several academic books on cinematography and specialized publications - collections and film magazines
