His first theatrical short ‘The Privilege’ won a BAFTA. Ian is a seasoned director of TV drama series, features and documentary. His many television credits include ‘Between the Lines’, ‘Hamish Macbeth’, ‘Murder City’, ‘Monarch of the Glen’, ‘Silent Witness’.

Director Ian Knox studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art. Following a year long attachment to Mafilm studios in Budapest working with mentor directors Miklos Jancso and Karoly Makk, he graduated from UK’s National Film and Television School. His first theatrical short ‘The Privilege’ won a BAFTA. Ian is a seasoned director of TV drama series, features and documentary. His many television credits include ‘Between the Lines’, ‘Hamish Macbeth’, ‘Murder City’, ‘Monarch of the Glen’, ‘Silent Witness’. He is currently developing Cuba set love story/ thriller ‘La Americana’ and a UK set horror movie. He is a regular guest tutor and mentor at UK’s NFTS, ECITV in Cuba, London Film School and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
