Emil Spahiyski is а Bulgarian journalist, screenwriter and director. He has an extensive experience in print media, television, and screenwriting.
He is currently the Editorial Director of the Telegraph, Match Telegraph, and Telegraph online newspapers.
At the “Golden Rhyton Film Festival” 2019, he won the Director's Debut Award for his first full-length documentary as a director – Icarus from Kocherinovo. In 2015 Emil Spahiyski earned the prize for the best script of the year (shared with Marin Damyanov and Stephan Komandarev) from the Bulgarian film academy for “The Judgment”, a feature film of Stephan Komandarev. Assosiated producer of the documentary Here I Am, Again.
He had worked as a correspondent for the Caucasus region and had covered the war in Kosovo. He has an experience in photography. He has worked as a screenwriter for feature films and television series, as a screenwriter and field editor for reality formats, and as a producer of TV shows.
