Dr. Nick Poulakis teaches music and cinema at the Department of Music Studies (NKUA, Greece). He has contributed articles and book chapters on ethnomusicological films, video life-stories, anthropology of film/TV music, media education, and audiovisual literacy. Among his published works are the books “Musicology and Cinema: Critical Approaches to the Music of Modern Greek Films”, “Music from Optical Theatre and Silent Cinema”, and “World Musics: Soundscapes, Identities, and Practices”.
