Keynote speaker
Lucie Česálková is Associate Professor at the Department of Film Studies, Charles University, and editor-in-chief of academic journal Iluminace, published by the National Film Archive, Prague. In her research, she focuses on the history of nonfiction film, especially its educational and promotional functions. Later this year, the volume she coedited with Johannes Preatorius Rhein, Perrine Val, and Paolo Villa, Non-fiction Cinema in Postwar Europe. Visual Culture and Reconstruction of Public Space, will be published by Amsterdam University Press.
