Synopsis: Lazy is a fantasy antidote to a busy life. A woman decides that her life can do without her for one day. Her bed transports her to a magical river, surrounded by singing flowers, birds, butterflies and jumping fish. An old style cut out animation turning into a psychedelic fantasy.

Ayala Sharot was born in 1978 in Tel Aviv, Israel. In 2002 she graduated Camera Obscura School of Art in Tel Aviv. Her graduation film Jabberwocky, an animated short based on a poem by Lewis Carroll, was nominated for the best Israeli student animation for 2003, and was screened in various film festivals around the world. After her graduation she worked as an animator in Israel, and in 2004 she joined the animation team of “MK 22”, an award winning satirical animation series. Later on that year Ayala moved to London in order to continue her studies. In 2006 she graduated a master degree in communication design at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design. During the course she directed I'm Amazed, a short experimental film, and Foreigners, an animated documentary about young foreigners living in London. Foreigners was screened in various film festivals around the world and got a title page on IMDB. In 2007 Ayala won the Onedotzero Bloom competition and was commissioned to transform Foreigners into a one minute ident for MTV. Since her graduation Ayala has been working in London as a freelance animator. She was involved in the making of console games animations ('Call of Duty' for Sony PS3) TV commercials (Sony, Kwik fit) TV promos (Cartoon Network for Turner Broadcast) and film title sequences (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince). In 2009 Ayala got a grant for her next project from the Israeli Rabinovitz Foundation. Broken Branches is a short animated documentary about her grandmother's life story. The film is now in production.
