Lauri Elstelä grew up in Helsinki, Finland. He graduated with a BA from Aalto University of Art, Design, and Architecture. After studying film directing at ArtCenter College of Design, Los Angeles as an exchange student, he moved back to Europe to attend the KinoEyes program.
