Synopsis: Midyan decides to run away from his war-torn home. He packs his bag with objects that remind him of his loved ones and embarks on a journey into the unknown. Soon he is starving and resorts to eating the objects he has packed. The effects are monstrous yet they give him the strength to carry on through the scorching desert. Eventually, he arrives half-dead on the other shore of the sea and eats the most precious of his objects: a family portrait. This gives him the strength to finish his journey. / Мидиан решава да избяга от разкъсания си от войната дом. Натъпква чантата си с предмети, които му напомнят за любимите му хора и тръгва на пътешествие в неизвестното. Скоро той умира от глад и прибягва да яде предметите, които е опаковал. Ефектите са чудовищни, но те му дават силата да продължи през парещата пустиня. В крайна сметка той пристига полумъртъв на другия бряг на морето и изяжда най-ценния от своите предмети: семеен портрет. Това му дава сили да завърши пътуването си.

Antoine Antabi was born in Damascus in 1983 and graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Damascus. He finished his studies in 2006 with a degree in stop-motion animation. His first stop-motion film SILENT THOUGHTS premiered at the Damascus International Film Festival and won the bronze award for short film competition. After leaving Syria, he has lived in Dubai and Lebanon. Since 2019 he lives in Leipzig, Germany, and works as a graphic designer and photographer, while developing stop-motion projects at the same time. / Антоан Антаби е роден в Дамаск през 1983 г. и завършва Университета за изящни изкуства. Приключва обучението си през 2006 г. със специалност стоп-моушън анимация. Първият му стоп-моушън филм „Неми мисли“ направи премиера на Международния филмов фестивал в Дамаск и спечели бронзовата награда за конкурс за късометражни филми. След като напуска Сирия, живее в Дубай и Ливан. От 2019 г. живее в Лайпциг, Германия, и работи като графичен дизайнер и фотограф, като същевременно разработва stop-motion проекти.
