МИНИСТЪРЪТ НА КУЛТУРАТА ПЕТЪР СТОЯНОВИЧ ВРЪЧИ ГОЛЯМАТА НАГРАДА СРЕБЪРНА ПРИНЦЕСА

08.07 - Румънският филм Самота, копродукция с Франция, на режисьора Льова Жедлички спечели голямата награда „Сребърна принцеса” на 11-ия Международен фестивал за късометражно кино „В Двореца” – Балчик. Министърът на културата Петър Стоянович връчи престижното отличие на директора на Държавния културен институт „Културен център – Двореца” в Балчик Жени Михайлова, а тя обеща да го предаде на екипа на филма, който бе възпрепятстван да присъства на официалната церемония в Каменната зала в Културния център „Двореца”.

Самота е третият филм на режисьора, в който се разказва историята на румънска проститутка, изнасилена във Франция. Филмът Самота е от международния конкурс на фестивала, в който на първо място бе класиран датският филм Барвало на Расмус Клостер Бро - циганска драма, създадена след месеци импровизационни упражнения с непрофесионални актьори от Северен Шеланд, Дания.

Победителят в националния конкурс на 11-ия Международен фестивал за късометражно кино „В Двореца” е провокативният филм Ботев е идиот на Деян Барарев. Филмът бе отличен и със специалната награда Euroshorts Special Mention, която му осигурява прожекция в рамките на девет европейски фестивали за късометражно кино.

Наградата за най-добър документален филм на фестивала спечели кубинският филм Кучета на Педро Пио, който по любопитен начин представя класовото разслоение в Хавана чрез живота на пет кучета.

Посетителят на българина Георги Дечев, който живее в Холандия, копродукция между двете страни, е отличеният анимационен филм на фестивала. Кинотворбата е кратък драматичен разказ за самотен човек, който търси смисъла на живота.

Яж бе излъчен за победител при експерименталните филми на 11-ия Международен фестивал за късометражно кино, а лентата е дело на германския режисьор Мориц Кремер.

Индийският документален филм Танците на Гоа на режисьорката Налини Елвино де Соус заслужи наградата на публиката. Експерименталният Стр-аз-ти на израелеца Орен Шкеди, игралният филм Щастливи заедно на Йосиф Меламед - от конкурса за български филми и Момичето мечта – от документалния конкурс, бяха специално отбелязани от журито.

Отличените на сесията за представяне на филмови проекти в дните на фестивала са Нешка Караджинска с 3000 лв., за да може да заснеме филма си Разкритиe, Мартин Илиев – със снимачна техника за осъществяването на проекта Може би утре, и Константин Турин – със златно кюлче - наградата за най-добро представяне на проект за Сам.

Общият награден фонд на 11-я кинофестивал “В Двореца” е в размер на 10 000 евро в злато и парични награди. На церемонията по закриване на фестивала “В Двореца” присъстваха и заместник-министрите на културата Велислава Кръстева и Васил Василев, кметът на община Балчик Николай Ангелов, директорът на Националния филмов център Марин Марчевски.

HOW TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL?

Screenings which are part of the competition program, the opening and closing ceremonies, will be held at Stone Hall in the Palace Complex/Botanical Gardens. To access the Complex you will need a day ticket (10 leva) or festival accreditation (20 leva for the duration of the festival).

Tickets can be obtained at the entrance of the Complex from the ticket kiosks. Accreditation can be arranged at the InfoPoint of the Festival, open from 29 June until 6 July, 10.00 – 22.00. The parallel festival screenings will be at the beach right next to the Palace ! and a free of charge !

COMICS WORKSHOP
2013-06-21

The Festival invites children aged 12-15 to participate in a comics drawing workshop on 1-4 July, at The Palace. Children interested in communicating, drawing, sharing, learning, and having fun are invited to join the workshop led by Vesela Dancheva and Ivan Bogdanov from Compote Collective, Bulgaria.

Two experienced artists and animators will facilitate children to communicate about everything that interests them, worries them, and they enjoy. Participants will be sharing their personal stories, memories, experience, and dreams. In drawings!

The idea of this initiative is, through stories, drawings, and group work, to give children opportunities to learn how to communicate and gain some life experience in areas such as love, friendship, tolerance, etc.

After the workshop, the comics produced by the children, will be presented to the local public. No special drawing skills are required to join the workshop. All materials are provided as part of the workshop.

AN INTERNATIONAL JURY OF SIX WILL DETERMINE THE WINNERS

Announced are the members of the festival international jury. They are: two festival directors – Darya Nikitina (Beginning – St.Petersburg, Russia) and Heinz Hermanns (Interfilm - Berlin, Germany), writer-director Jenni Toivoniemi (winner of the Jury Award at Sundance 2012 with The Date), documentary filmmaker and journalist Jordan Todorov (Dad Made Dirty Movies), animation artist and director Radostina Neykova, and producer and writer Tobias Munthe.    

The jury will be focusing on two festival competition programmes  - international and national – with the following award categories: best feature film (Bulgarian and foreign); best documentary; best experimental film; and best Bulgarian animation. The festival audience will determine the winner in the TV production competition.
