He worked as a conflict photographer for several years and then focused on documentary photography. He is mostly concerned about the human condition documenting issues such as displacement and homelessness. Sylvia Nicolaides is a filmmaker and a video artist. She is a Berlinale Talents and Talents Sarajevo alumna (Berlin 2019 and Sarajeno 2020) and a member of the Directors Guild of Cyprus. She received her Bachelor’s Fine Arts Degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design (University of the Arts) in London and her Master’s Degree in the Film and Television Academy (FAMU) in Prague, Czech Republic.
