FILMER FORGE was founded in 2004 as industry programme of IN THE PALACE and includes educational module, Industry Meetings and Project Market (Pitching training and session). In the purposes of this section there are different international professionals and industry representatives specially invited, such as sales agents and buyers, co-producers, TV buyers, exhibitors, programmers, festival directors, talent seekers and others.

IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival`s educational program FILMER FORGE is an annual audio-visual training in the framework of the festival including a series of integrated educational streams, workshops, lectures, case studies and master classes. Filmer Forge is an international initiative directed towards talented young filmmakers, who have certain experience in creating short forms. The educational program aims to give participants opportunities to master their practical skills, reap the benefits from working in a team, and create an environment for exchange of cultures and practice together with filmmakers from Europe and the world.

FILMER FORGE includes a range of educational activities led by established directors, cinematographers, scriptwriters, producers, editors, digital artists, etc. The platform integrates these by means of several parallel programs - a series of lectures, master classes, hands-on trainings, a pitching session, etc. Well established filmmakers have been traditionally invited to share their experience and knowledge with the young and support them succeed in their careers. Over the years, the Festival has hosted both national and international celebrities.

Project Market of Filmer Forge programme refers to the Pitching Panel which is aimed at film authors and producers who seek (co-)producing and funding opportunities for their current or upcoming short film project.
