Filmer Forge is an integrated audio-visual training programme annually running in parallel with IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival in Balchik, Bulgaria. From the very beginning it is an international initiative targeted at young promising film professionals with an experience in short films in order to suit the following objectives: allow the participants both to learn practical skills and benefit from team working, intercultural networking and benchmarking with films and filmmakers from all around Europe. Filmer Forge always aim at running in parallel several workshops with filmmakers in different areas of professional experience – directors, cinematographers, script writers, producers, editors, etc. The program put a special accent on integrating all of them through cross-lectures and unifying practical exercises.
The Filmer Forge 2013 is our 8th edition within the festival IN THE PALACE and consists of several closed programmes running in parallel and a cycle of open lectures and master classes which will have a wider selected group of participants.
