Pierre Stefanos is an award-winning filmmaker whose credits include two Oscar-nominated documentaries and three Emmy-winning television programmes as an Editor, Associate Producer of the 2012 SXSW narrative competition selection and 2013 Independent Spirit Awards nominee "Gayby", and over 30 awards for his first foray into narrative film as a writer/director/producer, the 15-minute short film "Bedfellows". "Bedfellows" has received multiple jury and audience prizes for Best Short, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and was twice nominated for Best Screenplay. It received the highest audience rating for all Live-Action shorts at the 2010 Seattle International, Anaheim International, and the Philadelphia QFest film festivals, beating out short selections which had prior screened at Sundance, Slamdance, Berlinale, SXSW, Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand, OutFest, Frameline, and other top-tier fests. "Bedfellows" was subsequently included in IndieWire's "Best of Fest" review of the 2010 Seattle Int' Film Fest by longtime critic Brandon Judell. Invited to screen at over 140 film festivals in 40 countries around the world from 2010-2012, including seven Oscar-qualifying festivals for short films, "Bedfellows" was later selected for inclusion on three DVDs available commercially in a dozen European countries and North America, theatrical runs throughout German and New Zealand theaters, and made its world broadcast premiere in France in 2012. Pierre's follow-up, "Brighton," is the second film in a trilogy of shorts and was filmed on location in Brighton, England with an all British cast and crew.
