Synopsis: The film follows Nicole, Pamela and Sealy in Sosúa, a city in the Dominican Republic that is known as the city of prostitutes. Each one is in a stage where she has to choose how her future life will look like, whether it will be a life of poverty and prostitution like most women in their area, or studying and having a normal profession.
Director: Mary Gitman
Mary Gitman was born in Bulgaria in 1982 to a Russian Jewish father and a Bulgarian Christian mother, a cultural diversity which had a great impact on her first films that focus on the subject of lost identity in the Israeli society. In 2008, she finished her studies in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem where she mastered in video art and documentary making. She finished MA in Screen Documentary at Goldsmiths University of London and currently she is working as a freelancer.
