Synopsis: Based on the poem “The Lighthouse Keeper Loves Birds Too Much” by Jacques Prevert, the film tells a story about life’s absurdity and the game of destiny which is too cruel at times. This is a film about the consequences of a taken decision, about love, suffering and death.

Velislava Gospodinova was born in 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2004 she graduated a National school of applied arts “St. Luca”, Sofia specialization textile. She studies Animation Directing at the New Bulgarian University. “The Lighthouse” is her debut bachelor graduation film. At present she continues her master degree at the same university. As of 2005 she works in the field of visual effects and 2D compositing; a freelance art director, designer and animator in some of the leading filmmaking, advertising and architectural companies in Sofia. 2010 she is selected to participate in the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus.
