Synopsis: Alone in her cottage, a widowed mother awakens with a nightmare of her only son burning to death. Fear races through her mind until a memory of her son comforts her. Though separated by thousands of mile, their strong bond allows them to face fate together.Director: Jonathan Heidelberger
Jonathan, born in 1975, grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Chicago in 1999, receiving special honors for writing and directing KILLING APHRODITE, publicly screened at DOC Films and the Art Institute of Chicago. During college he assisted on R. Kelly's Grammy award winning R. (album). He started a recording studio of his own, “Chicago Sound Factory” on the north side of Chicago specializing in rap and R & B. He produced and directed music videos for such songs as “Life is like a Movie”, “You Gonnna Play Me, Ok!” and “Dance, Dance, Dance, Like This!”, and did sound design for award winning local films DIET, GROUND CHUCK, LUCKY STRIKE, and UNDISCIPLINED. After moving to LA he worked as editor on feature psycho thriller PSYCHOTIC (starring Sam Jones (Flash Gordon)) He also worked on a 3D Imax short HAUNTED LIGHTHOUSE as Art Department head (an Imax 3D film starring Lea Thomson and Christopher Lloyd, directed by Joe Dante. He then went to Atlanta to work on a detective thriller with the former stars of television show MIAMI VICE called FATE, working as online editor His first 35mm feature GOODBYE HELLO, half in English, half in Bulgarian, released October 2005, winning best film at the San Francisco World Film Festival, New York Independant Film Festival, and Boston International Film Festival. The film was specially showcased in the Sofia International Film Festival. He then worked as a director and producer for children’s animation show DANGER RANGERS from 2006-2007, (starring the voices of Mark Hammil and Jerry Houser) executive produced by Howard Kazanjian (executive producer of the first Star Wars trilogy and Indiana Jones). Jonathan put together the studio in Bulgaria. Jonathan recently finished directing short film THE GUARDIAN soon to be premiering on Shorts TV and Itunes worldwide.
