Synopsis: Pauline, an old lady living on her own, carefully prepares the famiy reunion lunch that she organizes once a year. But since a few days, she only manages to think about her cat Felix, that has suddendly disappeared . The day before the lunch, Pauline recognizes the cat in her courtyard… The family reunion seems a great success, until the moment when Pauline’s nephews ask her to see Felix…
Director: Adriano Valerio
Adriano Valerio was born in Italy in 1977. After a Ba in Law at the Università Statale di Milano and film studies at Marco Bellocchio's workshops he moved to France and achieved a BFA at Eicar, The International Film School of Paris. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Nenad Didzarevic at the same University and is currently Head Professor of the Fast Track Section and Professor of Directing, Worldwide Contemporary Cinema and Working with Actors. His short-film «Claire» won the Best Film at Festcine Valladolid Film Festival (2005), the Bh Award and the Luksuz Film Festival (2005). «Da lontano» won the «Premio Città di Bra» for the Best Original Screenplay (2006). His works have been selected for the most important European Film Festivals (Torino Film Festival, Arcipelago Roma, Tous Courts Aix en Provence, Oporto, AFIA Arhus, Skopjie Film Festival, Genova Film Festival,…). He is a long-term collaborator of Batik Film Festival Perugia(l), Festival dell'Immaginario (l) and Associazione Immagina (l). He is now living between Paris and Berlin and working as a freelance director and screenwriter.
