REELISM is an unique programme, which will give an opportunity to young filmmakers and students from different disciplines, like cinematography, film directing and editing, to get to a closer look and experience specific aspects of filming process, combining lectures and practical modules. Thus the training aims to help young and emerging filmmakers to find the most suitable means of expression for their own films.

In the five days training the young filmmakers will have the chance to develop further their knowledge by working with award-winning cinematographers, representing the two leading tendencies in filming – Russian and American.

Sandi Sissel - one of the very few world-famous women cinematographers, with more than 90 films in her filmography, member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Sandi’s films won twice Oscar® and two Oscar nominations, 6 EMMY Awards, a Camera D’Or in Cannes, BAFTA Award and BAFTA Nomination
Sergey Astakhov – legendary Russian cinematographer, owner of the leading film rental house in St. Petersburg ACT FILM and director of photography of more than 40 feature and TV films including movies from the world-famous directors Sergey Selianov, Aleksey Balabanov, Pavel Lungin.
