Synopsis:

A peaceful summer day. A little bit too peaceful. No bird is singing, nothing to hear at all. Jakob leaves the swimming lake. His dog is gone. The water at home is running but nobody is taking a shower. His wife and his son disappeared. The neighbor’s doors are locked. The whole city seems dead. A dream? But Jakob does not wake up…

Philipp Batereau

Born in 1973. After leaving school he travelled in Latin America for a year. From 1994 to 2001 he studied philosophy in Frankfurt and worked as an assistant director in various theatre productions. 2003 he received the scholarship Cast and Cut for young filmmakers and realized his first short film Ich. The film was screened at more than 20 international festivals and won Second Price of the Jury at FEC Reus in Barcelona. His recent shortfilm Badetag was awarded Best International Short Film at Roma Independent Film Festival 2008 and Best Cinematogrphy at Femme Fatale festival Cologne. Presently Philipp Batereau is working as a videodesigner and developing the script for his first feature film.
