Synopsis: A young woman’s home has been besieged by birds. They filled her with alarming foreboding. An unknown painter rents the house while the woman is absent from the town. On her return she finds her home vacant and with no trace from the painter…
Slava Mladenova
Born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She graduated from Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’, with a Master degree in Bulgarian Language and Literature in 2000. She is now studying Film Production at the prestigious Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in Montréal, Canada. In 2008 her film Blinding Darkness won the Mel Hoppenheim award for best cinematography. In the same year she received bursary to shoot her new film Departure. In May 2009 she received Stanley Mills Fine Arts Prize for student artistic achievement in Cinema. In recent years she was proud to present her films at numerous festivals across Canada including The National Student Film Festival in Regina, EICV - Evenement Interuniversitaire de Creation Video in Montreal and U of L Film Festival in Lethbridge.
